Review : I am 17 but have a deep interest in testing cars and bikes whenever I find new one.....I learnt driving very early and now I can give engines hard times. It would be less even if I write 20 pages on a car because it has got so many things to be mentioned so I would adopt a step wise explanation:L
Engine:
1063cc, 63 bhp this 63 bhp is more than zen(60 bhp) wagon-r(62), alto(62) only by a little but far less than the 14oo ccc 75 bhp engine of indica petrol I have. This makes lot of difference in terms of 0-60 thing. The acceleration and torque. But 63bhp is enough and ya no one here is gonna take it to serious road racing.
Interiors:
More spacious than zen and alto. Similar to wagon-r in terms of height but less spacious than indica
Style and looks:
Ya in this case its a bit ahead of the lot. The light lenses are the real thing of beauty, I think.
Drive quality:
Its probably smoother than any other car of its segment. Mileage is not great. But the car is humble and very quite. The confidence level while dealing with sharp turns on relatively hifg speeds is low considering the height of the vehicle. Zen, Alto, Indica score here but still santro is not that bad. The quality of material used in the dashboard and interiors is better than the other cars in the segment. But the AC..I think is not that good. (the only samml car I consider which has a AC is the good old matiz...its AC is best withoout a shade of )doubt.) So finally, Go for alto aen or wagon-r if u want medium to high performance but the highest reliability and faith in the name MARUTI. Go for indica petrol if you want sheer perfotmance in terms of use of power.
It has much space too. And go for santro if you want riding pleasure(better drive qualiti in terms of smothness and vibration freeness). Go for it if you want to stay ahead in terms of style. Its a good car and is selling the most and I also know that I am too young to comment but I fell an Indica Petrol would be a better option, the indica only lags behind in mileage. The style is enough in the new v2 so u decide.
