The Verna has always been a very important car for Hyundai and the company has always kept the car updated with new features and technology in the form of facelifts. Though it enjoyed the status of the top-selling C-segment sedan in India for quite some time, stiff competition from Honda and Maruti Suzuki meant that Hyundai had to up the ante.
The Korean manufacturer launched the new 4S Fluidic Verna in February 2015 as a replacement for the old Verna. Being a facelift, the new Verna retains a majority of the mechanical bits from its predecessor, though it does get a host of cosmetic changes to give it a fresh lease of life.
