I bought the car on 10th of December and I had driven 1500kms till now. Previoulsy I had Maruti 800, then Esteem, Palio Diesel and at present Wagon R and this new verna. I bought at Salem Ramani Hyundai and I booked on 30th of November. I was offered cash discount of 15000, accessories worth 4000 and one year extended warranty. When I was about to get the delivery of car on 7th, the company offer had changed and tax reduction was announced by Govt. and I requested for the new offer and discounted rate. Finally I was offered cash disount, free insurance and tas deduction of 27000 and I had a smooth and courteous interaction with the sales person Mr.Satish and he is very good in responding to my queries.
I test drove both ford fiesta and verna before and the pick up has made me to select Verna.
About the car, I am satisfied with it. Interior space is good and comfortable. I think it is a good car to drive in highways and pick up is extremely good. In the city ride, I am not comfortable since driving under 1500 rpm is difficult when compared to Palio which I liked most.( It’s my personal opinion.) High ways, It’s the best and you can really enjoy driving. Suspension is ok . You have to change the gears frequently when compared to Palio diesel( older 1900 cc engine) Gear shift is smooth except mild difficulty in 2nd gear. I always drive with AC on and the automatic climate control is very useful. Fuel efficiency - I didn’t analyse it since you shouldn’t be bothered when you buy a car for 9 lakhs. 2 DIN player is ok, but not satisfied. I am p lanning to change the speakers. Head lamp has to be changed which was done at the time of delivery.
Overall I am satisfied with the dealer and the car till now and I have to wait for more time to see the long term performance and the service by Ramani Hyundai.
