Hyundai Verna/White/Diesel From the very first test-drive, I would say this is definitely a driver’s car.
Highway feel - Covered close to 2000kmph in few days, traveling extensively. The vehicle could touch 60kmph on 2nd gear, and sail at 100kmph in 3rd gear at speed that would catch any driver by surprise.
City driving - Driving in Bombay traffic is no task for the faint-hearted, but the Verna makes it feel like a luxary drive.
The exterior curves are quite an eye-catcher, especially the trunk part. Massive front-window gives the driver an excellent view ahead and look impressive as well. Interiors are quite spacious (power windows/wheel come standard), and well thought through.
I stay abroad, and came to India for a while. Having seen(and driven) many other diesel (and petrol )vehicles, this one by far impressed me the most - both from its performance and looks. Mind you, we were scouting around, checking out vehicles for a week, and tried the (diesel and petrol) Ford Fiesta, Ford Fusion, Honda City/Civic, Toyota. (yes, we tried everything across the board) :)
Jayabharat Motor dealers was a good choice to check out and evaluate vehicles; whereas Shaman motors were just plain non-responsive.
