I own a Verna VGT purchased from Samara Hyundai in May 08. The dealer’s behaviour and presentation was pathetic but since the car was my passion I did not thought about it. The car is a masterpiece in terms of drive, behaviour pattern and comfort.
While on a visit to Jaipur the car started a funny ticking noise which was shown to Samara and was decleared as engine mounting breakage. The part was not available with the dealer and after many requests, arguments and even heated arguments the part was finally brought by dealer from Chennai for replacement. Till the car was not repaired everything including pickup, fuel economy and all other things were fine except a noise but when the car was repaired and mounting changed (ofcourse in warrenty).
I had a wholesome package of problems. When Co HMIL was contacted they advised me to go to Hyundai Motor Plaza at Mohan Cooprative near Faridabad. The dealership was very nice and well behaved and they sotred out the problem to a great extent. It was better but not as good a new car should be or not as good what it was in its original state.
The real test came in when I took my car to Mussorie in June 2009 when it just started crying while going uphill or even while overtaking the other cars on the highway. I was driving at a comfortable speed of 100 and while overtaking I had to shift the gear from 5th to 3rd as the car was just not maintaining the momentum and was sort of sinking. The same kind of thing was happening while going uphill. My other car (Maruti Dezire) was going steadily at same pace in the same gear maintaining the momentum and the much appriciated varna was again and again demanding for gear change and push.
Since HMP is a dealership where there is a lot of crowd always I decided to get this problem done at MGF okhla where they serviced the vehicle properly but were not able to rectify this problem of detoriation.
I wish that if through this the company listens to me and I get the same old feeling I would be really greatfull.
