I was a satisfied owner of Hyundai Accent but committed a blunder by buying Hyundai Verna VGT in March 2007. The car gives meager mileage about 10-11 km/lt in Pune City and about 15-16 on the highways. I was told that the car would give 20+ in the city, which is a total propaganda of Hyundai. I have just given the car for 4th service and they told me that they have tuned the engine for mileage, which they are telling me after every servicing.
The suspension of this car is totally hopeless and after paying around nine lac rupees they are offering suspension worst than Hyundai Accent which now comes at around 5.5 Lacs. The Verna virtually jumps even on Pune Mumbai expressway, which makes very uncomfortable for persons seating on back seats. The inner space is also less compared with Hyundai Accent. Most importantly there is fundamental manufacturing defect in the suspension of Verna as after only 29000 Kms Tyres of my car are totally worn-out. I have written to Hyundai but they are not at all responding as Hyundaians are least bothered about Customers & Customer Care. As a last resort I am going to consumer court but I will advise never buy a Hyundai Verna at any cost or as a free gift.
