Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist. She stood for female education since her childhood days. She is the youngest Nobel Prize laureate. She is known to her for her human rights advocacy and standing for the education of all women and children in her region. This book will tell you about her life and experiences. How she stood against all odds and criticism to inspire us with such great values.


However, in this WOMEN’S DAY, I want to take the pleasure of briefing the storyline to you. So that you don’t spend your time in this and utilize it on any other new book.


Here we go in Malala’s language:


1.Due to the strong beliefs of a particular thought people never celebrated my birth. But my father was different he loved it since the first day he saw me.


2.In our family tree, only men were present. I saw my father drawing a line under him and writing my name MALALA with a proud smile.


3.My home was in the southern valley of Pakistan. My father had built a school there named "Kushal". He wanted to educate all children irrespective of their gender.


4.My father was a teacher still he managed to do almost all work at the school with the same energy.


5.Mukti is a religious Islamic male, who tried to close our well-running Kushal school.


6.Radio Mullah, the Taliban came to our village when I was just 12 years old. He started convincing women to stay at home and do the kitchen chores. My father told me that people like him are afraid of the education and the power that it gave.


7.I wrote on the BBC website my stories with the title of "Diary of Gulmakai". It gained much popularity, people appreciated me because I wrote it in raw form. However, for the world outside my identity was kept anonymous.


8.The government made a deal with the Taliban for the sake of peace. But it no way helped us. In fact, the Taliban grew more violent. And the situation became worse.


9.One fine day as we all were driving to school on a bus, I was shot by two people suddenly hijacking our bus. They shot three bullets at me but two actually hit my other friends.


10.I was taken to army hospital was swollen. Many Governors, Military Officials came to visit me. The whole world was at an outrage for what happened to me. The only good thing was my campaign against the Taliban’s reached many people.


11.I received gifts, chocolates, letters from around the world. I got messages from many well-celebrated personalities. I continuously cried when I saw my family. They were sad about my injuries, later on, I recovered.


12.When I was given an opportunity to speak in the UN assembly, I pleaded to the world leaders to give free education to all boys and girls. Book and pen is the most powerful weapon one can be blessed with. "ONE CHILD, ONE TEACHER, ONE PEN, ONE BOOK CAN CHANGE THE WORLD"
