Its me bluesky again. Its that month of the year again ( Dec ), when I usually come down
to b’lore for my holidays.I’m very much looking forward to my holidays this time as I’ve got a couple of gigs in b’lore booked!!.
I’m also planning to name the night’s i’m playing as ’’ Strictly House ’’ .Some of you guys might have guessed, what genre of music is going to be played on these nights - House Music.
Since my last holidays, I have been in constant touch with the local DJ’s in b’lore and everytime they tell me that, if they don’t play hip/hop tunes, then there is not even a soul on the dance floor!!.Also, my experiences last time was that people at clubs only recognise the the tunes that are being aired on MTV / Channel V, how uncool is that!!...
If this is the case, the DJ might only have around 10-15 tunes in his box!!, what will he play for the rest of the night??..does it mean that he has to play the same tunes week in and week out??:- )...what I saw and experienced last time was Night Club scene had arrived in b’lore, but not club music :-)..Judging by the reports I have heard now, its still the same ( although I’m sure it will be reiterated to my eyes and ears when I` land in b’lore on next wednesday - 8th dec ).
I guess some people on here might say, what am I goin on about :-)..its just I sincerely want to promote house music in b’lore, by house music I mean , not only vocal house, but other genre’s as break beats, electro, tribal house etc.
I shall be playing at F bar on fri 10th dec, to start of my b’lore gigs...please do come and try listening to some proper house music and I’m sure it will make some of you guys tap your shoes to the beat of the music and yes ofcourse I shall try to make even those people who stand in the corner watching other people dance , to make their move to the dance floor as well:-)
More later when I’m in b’lore !!
PS:- T be honest, i’m not too concerned about my review ratings, but my main aim to to promote dance music culture in b’lore :-)
