I, ROBOT
Well, I am not the robot nor do I want to be a robot or even have my life to being dependent on a robot, especially after viewing this movie I am now a proclaimed ‘ROBATOPHOBIC’, my contribution to science and the Oxford dictionary.
Getting back to the review

Set in 2035, a time where robots are everywhere, doing all the work for human beings. Robots run the medical emergencies, they clean the garbage, deliver couriers, and do all the stuff that humans would have found physically tiring.
In short robots were loved by all. They were slaves to human beings. They were shown to be defect or danger free because they had been programmed with 3 Laws.
Here are the three “robot” rules:
1) A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2) A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3) A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law
(As my friend said, replace robot with girlfriend or wife and the word human with boy friend or husband…… I know a bad joke but still wouldn’t that be great???????)
The robots followed these laws strictly. They were after all created to make lives easy for human beings and they could never dream of harming humans.
Amongst all of this is Del Spooner (Will Smith) who hates robots and feels that they can cause harm to humans. He has a little past attached to this. (Am not going to tell you about this).
The mysterious death of the creator of the robots, Dr Alfred Lanning leads Will Smith on the trail of what he thinks a suspect Robot named Sonny. He has a message left by the dead Dr Lanning. To help him in this mission is Dr Susan Calvin, who trusts the robots more than humans.
Why is this message left specifically for Will Smith? What does Sonny want? Why did he kill Dr Lanning? What will happen to the human race? Can Will Smith stop the robots?

Movie contains partial nudity and some foul language (Will Smith movie!!!).
Performance wise Will Smith was good. I mean he is good I all his roles. Bridget as the robot defending scientist was quite decent. The second half of the movie which also happens to be the main part of the movie is very slow and does not hold the audience very well.
But still it is watchable.
Watch this movie with friends. It makes for good viewing once.
