I have worked with IBM for almost 2 years here is my review. I was working with an Indian MNC which was too many politics and decided to quit and join IBM when I got an offer.
I joined with band 7B which means that I should be a manager or architect but not they say I have to do work as a developer
I had no second thoughts to work in the technology which I have worked for past 9 years.
Getting right project is an issue people say something ground reality is something
There are white elephants called people managers whom has to be treated like gods in IBM. They don’t have any knowledge on the technology no proper experience on the projects.
In my case I have worked for more time in this project than I have worked in any other project in my life. I was not in touch with people manager which is not required, I haven’t done polishing to the people manager so I got very bad rating.
I have to leave the company
Everything is politics no onsite opportunity if someone doesn’t polish then no onsite.
If people are thinking of joining IBM think again Indian MNC’s are better than American MNCs atleast they value people but here there is no value for employees.
Until and unless IBM fires all people managers and DPE’s from IBM, it will never succeed.
