I am a fresher and got recruited to IBM on campus..For 3 months there was no news from IBM on the joining or offer details..All of a sudden on Friday night(9:30) I get a call saying you have to join on Monday..And the caller (she does not tell me the name..After repeatedly asking she says I need not know the name and she is from HR department.) says almost in a threatening voice that if I do not decide to join the organization on coming Monday they may not call me again..("We may or may not call you in near future")..Adding to that she said that I have 15 minutes to decide as this is a urgent business requirement..She did not even care when I asked some more time to consult with my parents..It was like getting threatened point blank..
Very next day again in the night some person from IBM HR team calls and says that the joining date has been postponed by one day..And again he does not care to say his name..He just spits on your face that you will join on Tuesday and cuts the call..He does not have patience to even answer about joining place, time etc..It was as if he was doing some favor for me in giving the offer letter and I am not worth it..I had to end up make repeated calls to my other friends get to know the joining details..
IBM HR team is like any Indian government staff..They do not have any courtesy or manners..Just a bunch of overpaid goondas..They are not hesitating to muscle flex freshers like us..Heck with IBM.. I am dropping the IBM offer..Have got lot better ones..
