This is an ice cream chain in Mumbai by Cream Centre, the veg restaurant, springing up in almost every mall. I had just seen the outlet, more of a stall, wanted to try for quite a while. Finally, yesterday I tasted it. I went to the stall checked out the prices, as good as the gelatos.
They also had a variety of flavors. Also available with them, were the sundaes. Was in a mood to have a sundae, but after looking at the exorbitant prices, the mood just fizzled. (300 for a brownie and ice-cream sundae or a sizzling brownie). The cheaper sundae for Rs. 185 just had two ice cream scoops, chocolate sauce and chocolate chips. Better to go to CCD for a sizzling brownie or dark passion. Eventually my gaze fell on cassatta and it was love at first sight. It was as if the dessert was inviting me, "have me". Ordered a King casatta for Rs.135, had a combination of three flavours - king of dry fruit (rich and awesomely delicious, the best flavor), chocolate (dark) and strawberry (was better than the usual).
I was lost in the flavorsome dry fruit ice cream, when I had a spoonful of that, I realized that I made a wonderful choice. So glad I was. Although the ice cream is a little hard. Had to use some energy to get some on the spoon, unlike haagen dazs or gelato. That’s a downside. Overall a good experience, next timee I might go for the dry kulfi, if they have it and if not, I might order a cassatta for that one flavor,
