Been at ICE n SPICE quite a few times now.Reasons??...Closer to home..Like 2 blocks away.not much. Located just outside the Sea woods station, they got some real good place and space to set up this lounge bar.
It used to be known as OM banquet sum time back before it was christened to this name. It got two sections.The Lounge on the first floor and the restaurant on the second..My first visit verdict = the DJ rocks!!
My second vist verdict = ONLY the DJ rocks!!!
They got some good seats at good places.Like on the walls, making a gud and nice space for the dance floor.Seating is comfortable.And they do have a sperate section insed, wherein u wouldn’t be directly subjected to the loud music and wide screens showing stuf fthat ppl mite not want to watch.Its nothing obscene nevertheless.So, the interiors are pretty good and decent.Air conditioning is good too.They have bouncers who are very sincere to keep the troubles out.Not all that dark as such.
Yup.their bars are empty.they dont hav most of the drinks printed on their menu!!!..Wonder why they have them on the menu in the first place. I don’t know about the cocktails, etc...But yes, they just dont have what u mite wanna have.The food is ok. Nothing special.They serve only starters in the lounge.The prices are par with the AC family restaurants around, who’d spent some money on their interiors.
The service:is bad. Ud find around 4-5 tables at each side, and only one person to attend either sides.All you would see the poor boys running frm each table.And with the loud music, it becomes difficult to draw their attention as well.And surprisingly, the hospitality of the captains aint all that nice.U mite not find them, coming to u and asking for nothing.
Another bad habit of the management, they’d ask the families from the restaurants to come down and sit in the lounge section, while they wait on their food ordered upstairs!!..I mean..it is soo stupid, to find oldies walking with their kids and staring on the dance floors on the ppl dancing!!..The sight is pretty frustrating!!!
Not many ppl turn up on the lounge.And since, male stags aren’t allowed on the floor, the dance floor is empty most of the times.Actually, at all times..except if u got some good group that day, it would literally empty.
The DJ takes the cake.Mixes well..plays some real gud songs..Its kinda ensured that ur foot taps or ur head bangs..Bcs, with the sorry service and the long waiting time of ur order, that is something that ud be left to appreciate!!! If it picks up on the crowd and better service with a full house bar, this place mite do good sometime in the future.Your first visit might actually keave you an impression of this place as an untreaded area!
The restaurant upstairs has got some decent space, seating and arrangements.The food was nice there.And as we were the only ppl left, there were no issues with the servie as such.But the restaurants has some good amount of attendants and waiters. So ICE n SPICE has one thing to bank upon.That they got a good scope and long way to go to IMPROVE!!!!!>..... And it being the only lounge in nerul, they shoudl be able to tap the youngsters!!!....
