ICFAI stands for Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India.ICFAI is promoting itself as a private university and the student should not confuse between a Private and a Deemed university.Both have different recognition levels.A private university degree may not hold you eligible for certain programs offered by other institutes throughout India.
I am a student of ICFAI univ and it hurts me to tell you that my experience with ICFAI has been highly unsatisfactory.I and my clasmates have been a victim of the single minded focus of the management on the expansion of the university throughout India rather than the welfare of the students.
I am pursuing the undergraduate BBA program and now I am in my final year, last sem.My enthusiasm and drive to excel in the college has completely dried up and I am looking forward to start my PG studies from somewhere else or start working, bottom line, leave ICFAI ASAP.
Its not that the whole concept is wrong, there are some people in the management who try to help you but They are far outnumbered by those who don’t.
The course material provided to us has been excellent, not because of ICFAI R & D, but because of the efforts of the Cut , Copy & Paste department who find useful stuff in all the possible books, take out photocopies {without even bothering to see that its in order or not} and pass them to us.This is done to a batch, which paid one lakh/annum for the graduation.
The whole system is very bureaucratic and it takes a long time to get any possible information.
