I bought a new Honda Civic in May 2007 from Ichibaan Honda, Mumbai. At the time of the 2nd Service (September 2007) I complained to them about a defective Rear Centre Armrest Cupholder that had been giving me trouble since some time.
The Service Advisor inspected the same and said, it needs to be replaced and they will do it free of cost, since its under warranty.
However, even after follow up with them, Ichibaan Honda did not procure the part. After 7 months, in April, tired of followup, I wrote to Honda - New Delhi to complain, after which Ichibaan took the complaint seriously.
When I asked Honda, what action they are going to take against their Dealer, their reply was very strange.
They are protecting themselves and their Dealer and are holding me responsible for not following up with them for the part.
It is ridiculous, that after paying so much money for an expensive car, Honda gives such atrocious excuses and terrible service.
I suggest one rather buy a European Car or a Hyundai, instead of this Japanese Cheat.
