Corrupt culture

ICICI has three kinds of people:

(1) The capable, competent performers. Are typically under-appreciated and leave within a 2-3 years. A very tiny minority (maybe 15-20) of them are still there in the ENTIRE bank.

(2) Constitute 60% of the bank and 80% of senior management (SGM) and 99.5% of middle management (AGM and above). Vary from the totally incompetent to the average intelligence. Brown-nosing is the single defining factor of ICICI culture. Current CEO without doubt is a category (2)

(3) The incompetent. Can typically be spotted by the fact that they have been in the same post for multiple years. The incompetents who are good at corporate skulduggery rise up once in every 2 years. The average long-time ICICI employee is most likely someone with a CV so bad he/she was not able to find decent employment elsewhere. Why do you think the average ICICI person at the branch usually seems angry and unhelpful?.

Addendum based on comments received:

Examples of corruption. Innumerable cases of customer funds being misused. Corporate bankers take kickbacks to lend out money (your money) to even more corrupt corporates. One example - the bank’s former CEO in Russia was fired after he was caught accepting bribes. And this was after a whistle-blower put it on record (despite employees in the firm knowing for years that this was the case). Similar, problem going on in ICICI UK. A whistle-blower who reported mismanagement to top management was forced to relocate back to India (to keep him quiet). Anyone who has used ICICI’s credit cards or online trading account would be now used to the numerous hidden charges. ICICI lent money to a corrupt south east Asian company last year who used it to jack up their prices in the share market. This news caused a bank run on ICICI in October last year
