I am an Account Holder of ICICI since January 2003. But before that my close friend had a very disheartening experience with one of the ICICI ATMs in Cochin, Kerala.He opted for Rs. 3500 withdrawal, got Rs. 3000, but the account got debited by Rs. 3500.When he immediately contacted the CS Personnel(the atm was next to the MG Road Branch, Ernakulam)with the scantest possible regard & respect he said, to give a complaint in writing and only at the end of the day, they can give a reply. Also, the customer would get back his hard earned money only if their tallying sheet showed that the days total transaction has disbursed Rs. 500 less.Next day when we contacted the Branch the answer was that their transaction report showed everything right.
After this incident, he and myself never dared to withdraw money in multiples of 500. only 100s or 1000s. Because we are not so immensely rich to spare Rs.500 to a PROFESSIONALLY MANAGED BANK!!whenever we withdraw money in multiples of 500s.
