ICICI Bank: where technology replaces human touch

What to write about this bank? That it has the best technology for net banking, and extremely good network of ATMs? That for the people like us, who are ever on the move from one city to another, this bank will be the best possible financial institution offering a variety of products under one roof. But it still comes up short. Especially in areas where you need to interact with people, instead of the cutting edge technology. Yes, the bank officers, those in the phone banking or at the branches disappoint a lot. I don’t know if its the pressure of customers on the bank officials, or the fact that they have bitten more than they can chew, most of my interactions with the people of this bank have left me horribly short charged. Some of them have simply no idea what I am talking about.


Often such encounters leave me yearning for the days of customer friendly bank officials who use to be like a friend and had all the time in the world to solve your problems. The bank is doing just fine, till the time u have a querry that needs to be probed a little deeper. Its then the shuttling from pillar to post begins, and so does your frustrations. How I wish the bank will just improve on its customer service a tad bit more, so we, the account holders, can have good life.
