Name mispelt on your cheque - Welcome to HELL !!!!

<FONT face=’’’’ size=3 2?? Arial??>I had a horrendous experience with ICICI bank. Infact the matter is still not resolved. Terrible. I had applied for a home loan from ICICI bank. The employee took all my photocopies attested by and submitted the same.


The ordeal took me almost a month to get the final cheques issued. Horror of Horrors, I finally got 2 cheques issues from them. One in the Builder’s name and another in my name. I got the shock of my life when the cheque issued to me was drawn in the name of ’’Glen Ghosh’’, Glen Ghosh, Who is he? I wonder?


Inspite of submitting all my documents and all of them have my name as ’’Glen Goes’’. (short and sweet isn’t it).Still like Government offices they have to mis spell it. Otherwise who will compete with them in irresponsibility.


The matter does not end here. Inspite of paying 2 visits to the branch in Nariman Point, giving them ’’N’’


number of applications, and calling up the branch office, (believe me, the ’’9’’ no key on my phone does not work, because I have pushed it so many times) the money has not been transferred to my account. The irony of it all is that I have an account in ICICI Bank - Nariman Point. The issuing bank of the cheque is ICICI Bank - Nariman Point. It should not take more than 48 hours to transfer money from one account of the same branch to another account in the same branch. It is over a month now and still the money has not been transferred. And to think of it I hold an account in that bank for almost 4 years now.


It’s anyone’s guess what they would do to account holders who have cheques of smaller denominations or who have just opened accounts in that bank? My heartfelt sympathies, be prepared to run from pillar to post. This will give the health clubs a run for the money, since ICICI bank specializes in it’s own


weight reducing programs. That too free of cost.


That sounds like very good service. I do not know what they are trying to prove. And guess what, wonder of wonders, Almost all ICICI ATM’s proudly boast of ICICI Bank being the most customer


friendly bank. Great news isn’t it? Sounds like every customer’s dream come true. Mr. Bachan are you listening ?????


To sum it up I cannot understand the following?


1) How does ICICI bank claim to be the most user friendly bank in India?


2) Why don’t they answer the phone at the branch office?


3) Does it take more than 48 hours to get a cheque cleared from a branch if the


cheque is issued from the same branch and the account holder has an account in


the same branch?


4) Why must I pay interest for money which I haven’t even received?


5) Has ICICI bank stopped recruiting people who can read and write and most of


all understand simple English?


6) All my documents have my name in English and all of them are in Black


and white, then why is my name mis-spelt ?


I rest my case. But my money has still not come...
