I have taken car loan from ICICI Bank. I wanted to get LPG kit fitted on my car and as the car was under the loan from ICICI, I had to get NOC from them. I called up their call centre and was asked to visit their Mahlaxmi branch with required papers. I reached this Mahalaxmi branch and was asked to wait for my turn to be attended with the request I had. I had to wait for 50 minutes for my turn to be serviced. The customer service executive was not aware of the procedure to be done for processing such request. She went and checked with her colleagues how to handle such case.
I did not receive any letter or response from them for 10 days. When I contacted her on the phone (after trying the numbers she had given me for nearly 3 days ) she told me that my request was not yet processed and it would be done by next day.
I fail to understand why it should take two weeks to give me a letter with standard text that ICICI does not have or does have an objection on my request.
Surprisingly the same bank processed my loan application within 24 hours.
THey need to improve their service levels which have dropped beyond acceptable norms for any private bank to operate.
