Customer Unfriendly Policies of ICICI

I am having a savings account with ICICI Bank for the past five years with two Credit Cards one loan account and a demat account

ICICI bank can be termed as the pioneer in introducing technology in the banking space and they can be given credit for bringing the bank to the common man but as of now, the bank has become a monolith with no regard to the customers

I have been finding the behavior of the bank staff getting ruder & ruder day by day and the token system which they have implemented in almost all the branches will leave you exasperated

(would you believe it, You will have to take a separate token to deposit cash/Cheque, separate token to inquire about your demat acccount, separate token to inquire about your account details, the funniest part in this is you will find that two of your token numbers will come simultaneously making you wonder which one to choose first because once you complete your first task and hurry to the next counter with your coupon, you will be stonily informed by the counter staff as "number gone take another token")

In short if you have two three processes in the bank, you can take one hour as granted the bank has increased the average balance in a savings account from Rs.5000 to Rs.10000/-, this policy will affect many people who  were finding it difficult to maintain 5000/-

to counter this the bank has an option of giving an no frillls account with zero balance maintainence, the catch in this process is you will have to close your old account ( most of the accounts have a demat account or credit card or loan linked to their account which makes it illogical to close your account) leaving fools like us stranded with the bank s whims

nowadays the bank has started charging Rs.100/- for depositing cash at their Bank for their Credit Card

though compared to other banks ICICI has prudently given an option of depositing one cash deposit a month from other branches

their policy of not allowing free cash deposits in the credit card account is surprising

now you can term ICICI Bank as a good bank considering the vast array of products under a single window but they have to pull up its socks and try and give personalised service and improve their counter staff manners to become a better bank
