Just wanted to share the list of issues & suggestions that I had with ICICI Online Portal. I sent the list of suggestions to ICICI Bank feedback a weekago.however, I havent even received a Thank you email from their customer service let alone acting on them.
Internet Banking
· BUG** - Whenever a new business rule is introduced, for eg., no Savings account statements will be sent if there are no transactions in a given month should be informed ahead of time. Apparently, the rule that I referred to, was never informed to the customers & I came to know only upon writing to account manager.
· BUG** - When I make a funds transfer to non ICICI Bank, I enter all the details(amount, date, password etc., ). Only in the last stage, I am alerted that NEFT payment is not possible on the selected date. Shouldn’t the customer be alerted that NEFT is not possible based on the date selected(when he prompts out of the date field)? This will avoid several clicks for the customer.
· BUG** - When I do Funds transfer, I am prompted to enter digits that are present under specific alphabets in the debit card randomly. However, the cursor does not move from one field to another on its own, instead I am forced to click on the individual boxes to enter the numbers. Can auto prompt be enabled to avoid additional clicks for the customer?
· BUG** - Can I see my communication address & nominee details of the respective accounts in the online banking portal? Currently, there is no place to see the details.
· Can an annual statement coinciding with Financial year be provided for Credit card transactions along with the category of the spending? With income tax department mandating that spendings over Rs.2, 00, 000/- per FY be reported, this will be very helpful for individuals. Additionally, this will also be helpful for future references to the transactions that were made.
· Currently, monthly statements(Savings, DeMAT, Credit Card) are emailed to the email id on file. The statements are password protected. Remembering multiple account numbers are proving to be cumbersome. Additionally, the statements are erratic in their delivery. Personally I have faced issues in receiving statements for several months now. Can the statements(pdf document) be provided with a download option in the ICICI Infinity website(statements only for the last 18/24 months can be made available, statements beyond the specified limit can be provided upon request). This will help customers to avoid helpdesk calls/emails asking for the statements. It will also avoid the need to make the statements password protected as it is available only in the online portal. Whenever a statement is available in the website, a notification can be to the email id on file.
· Currently, online donations can be made only to a specific organization. Can more organizations be added to the list? Also, one time donation instead of monthly donations as it is currently should be enabled so that people who are planning to donate for specific occasions can do so without issues.
· When email id, contact details or mobile number is updated in online banking, an email/SMS/letter should be sent to the old postal, email address & mobile number to ensure that the customer is aware of the change. This will act as a security precaution.
· Currently, when I enroll for online Funds transfer, URN is sent only to mobile as a SMS. Can it be sent to the email id on file? The same restrictions that the email id should not have been updated in the last XXX days/weeks can be adopted as it is currently for Mobile number.
· Currently, when I enroll for online funds transfer, the transferee’s Nick name cannot have spaces or special characters(-, / etc., ). I have not able to understand the rationale behind this requirement. How do I distinguish multiple users with the same name?
