I decided to pick up a Hyundai i10 from Kun Hyundai, Anna Salai, Chennai. I had paid a down payment of 2.5 lakhs on19/06/2010. I had decided to take the rest 2lakhs as car loan. The Kun Hyundai people had the car loan option only with Private Banks which made me opt for ICICI bank. I wanted to go for SBI loan as the interest rate is less, no extra charges etc but they had given me no option. the only way out that looked convenient me was ICICI!!!!! I did not have a choice but to go for that loan as they said the processing would be extra swift, which is "2 DAYS".the ICICI representative Mr Santhana has only been giving me some stories till date and my car not delivered.
i feel like i am a foreign national applying for a loan in India, or a crook or fraud person trying to get a loan.
the reasons for the delay in the processing being - I am not married so I need a guarantor. now when my dad wanted to be a gurantor he is unable to because of XYZ reasons. I have spent some Rs 1000/- for couriering items as required by the bank. now for the fault of the bank I have lost this money! I need someone senior to act on my case latest by today afternoon. if not cleared off today, I am cancelling the car order and I dont need the bank loan.
