ICICI Bank - Just another frustrating tale of customer apathy

Im based in Bangalore.
I had submitted an Account opening cheque more than 10 days back to a ICICI representative and even today my account has not been credited with the requested cheque amount.
Then I put put a request via telephone cutomer service and they keep telling that were working on this.
Till now, i dont have any pleasant experience with ICICI Customer Service as after mailing several months for an account opening, i got to open an account.That too, through another request.
I dont understand the philosophy of this bank which boasts of excellent customer service in its advertisement and acually is too slow and unresponsive to customer service.
Customers are just another number in its customer service database.
I saw similar problem with its NRI Banking service.
