In 2001 I got my ICICI credit card, Hyderabad. Before that I had ABN-AMRO, however I was not happy with the service provided by them. I was in search of a reliable bank with modern looks , helpful and courteous staff.
My friend recommended me to ICICI. I made survey since I never wanted to make a mistake which I did before.
I was happy with the service provided by ICICI.
But when I shifted to Bangalore, I wanted to change my mailing address to my Bangalore address. They said they will be doing that and they had assured me the best of service. But I had to call almost every month for next six months to change my address. Till today my address remains the same and I have to go to the Bank in person to ask my balance and pay that there.
But adding to my woes they started making wrong transaction in my account. I had made some purchases on the card worth 2000 but my bill came near to 8000. When I called them they said that they will rectify the same and will get back to us. They have asked me to pay the total amount before I could cancel my card. Paying for something which didn’t buy is disgusting.
I would suggest people to choose the bank after taking enough reviews from other people or friends so that they do not face the same problem which I am facing right now.
