It has been a terrible experience while applying for a personal loan with ICICI Bank.
The bank representatives take the documents, complete the verification and nothing happens. Later they don’t bother to answer your calls or emails. I have an existing loan with them, applied for a top up loan.
Before applying I shared my CIBIL report that I ordered from cibil.com and was advised that I’m eligible for the loan and my credit report was clean as well. The ads state loans in 72 Hrs but keep in mind it takes more than that. This has happened for the third or fourth time when my loan application was rejected without any reason.
Approached ICICI Branch and they were of no help, took my details and said you’ll receive a callback and no one calls you in weeks. Tried checking the loan application status online and it shows no records found. I will never ever recommend this bank to anyone. I wish RBI had guidelines for all these mental agony and harassment caused by banks.
At the end its the consumers who have to suffer. Even wrote to RBI Ombudsman and DHRP yet ICICI is not bothered to look into the customers concerns. Really disappointed and upset with the treatment, service received from them.
