I have been using the online money transfer facility from ICICI bank through https://money2india.com for about 2 years since 2002.It was a very good system, with reliable transfer in the promised amount of time.
But after about a year’s gap, I decided to transfer some money to a beneficiary in India in March 2005 through ACH service wherin they will take money out of my personal bank account in America.
They promise that they will transfer the money into the beneficiary’s account in 3-5 working days.
But as can be expected by reading all the horrible reviews about ICICI of late, it took them more than a week to take out the money from my account.
That is when the cheating tactics of ICICI started. It has been more than 20 days since then, and they have not still transferred the amount to my beneficiary.
Everytime I call the Customer service Rep, he/she tells me that the matter is under investigation and that somone would call me within the next day and my money would be transferred in the next 3 days.
I end up waiting for 3 days, and then I call the customer care, only to get the same old answers again and again. This continued for 3-4 times.
They told me that they need some security information about me, and only then will they deposit the money in my beneficiary’s account. I did not have a problem with that. My concern is, if they needed some security information, they should have asked me before withdrawing the funds from my bank. Now they have my money with them, and are holding it. Neither do they call me to ask me any information, nor do they give me their telephone number so that I can call them and tell them any information they need.
I consider myself cheated by ICICI, and have assumed that I have lost all my money.
And the worst part of their service is that they send me an official mail telling me that they have deposited the money into the beneficiary’s account in just 4 working days. Can you believe a bank like this sending an official mail so full of lies !!!!!.
I would request any person who has undergone a similar experience to provide me any contact information of a senior management person in ICICI bank so that I can escalate my problem to him. I would appreciate if you could post that information as a feedback to this review.
I have decided from today to advertise the cheating tactics of ICICI in every media I can get my hands on, so that no other person is cheated anymore.
I wish I had read some latest reviews before I started my transaction. I would have saved lots and lots of money and time.
PLEASE DO NOT EVEN THINK OF TRANSACTING WITH ICICI ANYMORE. FIND ANY OTHER MEANS OF SENDING MONEY TO INDIA, BUT NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER WITH ICICI.
