I am a customer of ICICI Bank since 2007 & have 3 in 1 account includig Demat Account. In July, 2025, I was asked by the bank to close my old Demat Account & Trading Account due to death of my wife. They opened new Demat & Trading Account online and no welcome kit containing DIS Booklet etc. was provided to me. Recently, I requested to supply me DIS Booklet for which they asked me to deposit its cost. When I advised that it is my first Booklet which should be free of cost, they supplied it to me. After more than 15 days of supplying it, they have raised a Bill of Rs.59 towards the cost of booklet. Although, I have written to them again to not debit the amount to my Savings Bank Account but I am not sure about their action. I have decided to approach RBI Ombudsman in the matter if my account is debited.
