ICICI Bank sent me ’At Par’ cheques - WITHOUT my asking for it. My a/c is in Delhi while I have been residing in Mumbai for the last 1 yr. Was glad to get this facility as I had to otherwise tranfer funds to Kotak Bank a/c who offer this FOC.
Suddenly this month, the bank debited over 1500 bucks for ’Outstation Usage Charges’ for my using these cheques in Mumbai !! My experience has been nothing short of nightmare with these cheats. No amount of complaints help - have written to banking Ombudsman atleast 3-4 times for various reasons. The company is the most unfriendly company I have ever come across in my life and levy charges and cheat customers whenever they can.
Had terrible experiences earlier with their home loan. Went to other bank’s for my 2nd home & car loans. ICICI Bank just doesn’t care ... their CS team is also the rudest that you can find. When you escalate any issue, NOBODY bothers to revert. The Nodal officers etc. are all farce. The best you can do is to use the netbanking where you don’t need to interact with anyone
