I opened an account with ICICI Bank because I had a really bad experience with HDFC Bank (please see my review of HDFC Bank). I have found that the facilities are reasonably good - especially internet banking. I use the bill pay facility to pay my Insurance premia, transfer funds to third parties tc. The facility is free.
From time to time, we do run ito small issues with the bank - for instance, there was no ctivity in my sons account for 12 months (because we lived abroad at that time) ad they froze the account - I had to personally visit the bank to sort it out - they would not take requests by email or by phone.
Similarly, my wifes ATM card was not functioning properly - we were sent from pillar to pillar trying to get the problem sorted out. I am still awaiting rectification of this problem even though months have elapsed since I took up the issue with them first. Service at the branch is also slow and takes ages to get to the counter - if you have an issue to sort out at the branch you better take half a days leave.
