I’m in Mumbai and I had to open a salary account. As a fresher I was excited to open a new account although I have opened many other bank accounts in Bangalore. After watching that ad in TV i really thought these guys from ICICI bank have a lot of time for their customers and had great expectations from them.?
let me tell you all what actually happened. I have almost all the ID proofs given buy the INDIAN government but I just got one to Mumbai and rest I left at Bangalore as I have a very bad habit of losing things.
The person who came to my office to help us open the account was in a hurry for an unknown reason, anyway I was busy filling my form. He initially said he can consider my driving license as the proof and I gave him my PAN card no. After he realizes that I have a PAN card he insist on getting that. anyway I understand their procedures so I called back home asked my mom to fax me the PAN card as he desperately needed that to activate the account. Mom faxed that, unfortunately again. it was not clear then he started a new thing he says courier the copy of it..
I guess it was coz he wanted to go somewhere but unfortunately for him he had 6 more guys whom he had to process the form, so he continued...
Meanwhile I checked with the HR and I thought I can get a scanned copy of the document and get a print here. So I asked him and that’s when I realized that he was irritated coz I went to him for more than 2 times? I was kinda embarrassed with the response I got... anyway he is going come back on Friday or next week maybe and he is going activate the account for us ( us in the sense he rejected 6 out of the 8 ).
Another issue that I had with this bank was I got duplicate 1000Rs note from the ICICI ATM, Bangalore.. Now common the last thing that you can expect is to get a duplicate note from the ATM . Then I had to go through a lot of hazels to get it exchanged. will write a whole new review on that sometime later.
But the moral of the story is that please do not believe in the ICICI bank Ad as I saw a person not having a little time for his new customer. What about existing customers ????
