I have been a customer of ICICI for quite some time and I can easily say they are sitting there just to mint money.
Even a child knows that DD is equivalent to money and not cheque and these people say that DD is similar to a cheque.
We had once dropped the same amount DD in HDFCbank and one is ICICBAnk, the amount from HDFC bank got credited the same day and ICICI Bank took more than ten days to do the same.Their own ombudsman is of no use, so if you want complain app road a over all banking ombudsman of India.
Also, another classic case of eating money is if you pay credit card bill with money, they will charge you.
Another classic thing which is happened to me is, when I tried to do IMPS transfer, it shows some error. I try to do the same again and it repeats, as there is no confirmation of any transfer, I do the same next day, after which to my shock I see three transfers from my account. The make it even better, to top it all the beneficiary has not even got the amount three times. Now ICICI will take 5 days to finish transfer as per them but IMPS is supposed to happen right away. I want to know why icici will take 5 days.
Another I remember is if our credit card transactions happen twice and if we have to complain, we would have to write a complain and send it by post to some address in Mumbai.
My question is when Email can be used for other communications why not complaint about double transactions.
Beware of ICICI.
