I have been a customer of ICICI bank for the last couple of years (default salary account. Before that I was with UTI for 2 years and SBI for 4. I was never pinched by ICICI coz I never used their customer service, but recently I finished my chequebook and submitted an online request for it. Now the drama begins, after 3 weeks exactly.
I call them up and asked about the status of the request. The lady on the other side was less than hospitable and told me that the request was not there. After I quoted the request number, she says oh yes, this chequebook has already been delivered 2 weeks back. This gave me the chills as this could be a potential fraud case. Of course I said I did not receive it, then she says that the chequebook was not delivered because of a "Short Address". I did not know what it meant, however I needed a chequebook asap. To cut the chase short its been 5 weeks and still today I have not received a cheque book, though I have applied for it 3 times. ICICI SUCKS.....and SUCKS BIG TIME
