I am such a customer of ICICI bank , who has completely stopped takin its services..Though I really need its services but I had to stopped has been through lots of problems..
I would start from its customer care department..if u have a querry , no body is there in the bank to advice u properly so you have to dial its customer care..here if you are present in the bank itself , u can dial from there ..but if you are dialng from outside the bank / atm , be ready to pay huge telephone bill ..becoz the coutomer care will put u on hold for a very long time and you will be asked many questions before getting your problem solved...
Now lets talk about some hidden charges that you have to pay but you dont know why ..there are some hidden charges tht will be leveled against u and u will not be informed amout them in advance..among these hidden charges some are like of usin ATM frequently and u will be charged heavily if u have’nt maintained minimum quarterly amount in your account..these charges can be deducted from your account anyday without lettin u know..next time when u will check your account , u might be shocked to see that you have been charged and the amount has been deducted..and surprisingly there is nobody in the bank to detail u about these charges..and usually the calculation of these charges is so complicated that even the bank executive cant explain u properly..
I have been to this problem..once I was travellin and I knew about my balance in the bank . so I was quite relax knowin the fact that I can withdraw amount from my account anytime from any ICICI ATM in the country..But when I reached my destination place and tried to withdraw amount from my ATM , was shocked to see that my amound has been deducted.. The bank had leveled some charges against me and this amount has been deducted from my account..Now imagine the situation when you are a stranger in a new place has got very less amount in your pocket !!!!!
now when I walked into a ICICI bank branch of that particular city , was again shocked with the response and attitude of the staff over there..My major point to argue was that why din’t they informe me in advance that I am gonna charged with such amount and it will be deducted from my account on such a date or week..they could have emailed , sms or called me..
you can also be charged for frequently usin ATM, I really dont understand this thing..as I work in other city than to my hometowm..so I use ATM very frequently as I dont carry much amount with myself..its like when I need money I just go to ATM and withdraw..Earliar I used the follow the same procedure with ICICI ATM untill I was charged for this..again it was like a surprise for me..and again they could not explain me proplerly.
so guys be ready for these surprises from this bank..
one more major issue about this bank is that if your close one is livin in another city and there he has got the account of ICICI bank , you can not deposite cash in his account directly..here you have to deposite through cheque only ..and its a bit long process..I dont understand when my brother has an account in bank , why cant I deposit money in his account ..it should’nt matter whether he lives in another city..
Every bank has its own rules and policies but the customer should be informed about them will in advance..but it does’nt happen with ICICI bank..
I could say all this to u guys becoz I experined it....
whtever I said about the bank is based on my personal experince..some people may not agree with me bcoz it does’nt happen with each and everyone..
