I am an account holder with ICICI bank since 1998. Account then opened by my then company.I liked the service opened two more accounts one for Demat and other for my wife, both the accounts in bangalore. Then started the problem.QAB charges..Wife being a home maker, kept little for withdrawal and convert the rest about 50000+ into fixed deposit. Wife’s account is like safe deposit for me.
Little did I realise that safe deposit for me was a direct chargable account for the ICICI bank. One fine morning, just a couple of days back I found Rs 800+ was charge as QAB charges. When enquired those icici bank people say to maintain a balance of 5000 on a quarterly basis.
But when they have fixed deposit attached why the hell charge the penalty for low balance and the Customer Rep says cannot do anything. This is absolute looting...Customers are not told about the formula behind the QAB charges..and as of now I stand to loose those QAB charges...Case Deposit.Father-in-law deposited cash into my wife’s account yesterday, he was told to put the money in an envelope and give it to the person at the counter and leave and amount will reflect in 2 hrs.
Well it did reflect but short by Rs 3000/- than what he deposited, which we came to know late in the night since the Internet account is accessible only in the late nights. Poor old man was shocked to find that the amount was less by Rs3000/- Whole night sleep was gone.
Next day morning around 8.30 had to rush to the branch (AS Rao nagar Branch hyderabad) were the money was deposited, taking a half day off from his office, waited to talk to the manager about the money only to know that there was a wrong entry...
Now the amount is credited back stating "QCD" which only they know... I’m waiting for some more outstanding transactions with the account, once over planning to close all the three accounts with this bank....
