First the good, icicibank.com is a good site, icicidirect.com is not bad. security facilities with card is not bad. Service people at ICICI present themselves better than PSU banks.
Whats bad - ’the policies’
Bank employs ridiculous ways to thug people of their hard earned money.
PPF - have a PPF account (along with savings a/c), bank had claimed online facility will be available for those having PPF a/c with bank few years back. 5 years hence, as per call center, PPF is discontinued service of ICICI and people using the service are requested to visit branch only for making any deposits in PPF. I asked if there was any circular on the same, call center employee mentions he is unaware of such details but only has information that PPF service is discontinued.
Besides the branch, no other person in ICICI call center or managers of other branch provide any information/help about the ’mysterious’ PPF service. I cannot check balance, perform any deposit thru other branch, or perform any online activity on the PPF a/c.
(Exploitation for not proving proper service with intention that customer does not seek PPF with ICICI and ICICI saves on the now untenable 8% PPF compound interest)
Demand Draft(DD) - Created a DD with direct debit from my savings a/c for 10000. Charged 56 Rs.
Needed to cancel the DD .. charged rs. 112! Cancellation of DD is higher than making a DD :))

CC - CC statement generation on the site, per transaction balance reduction not displayed. Last few CC transaction not displayed on the net even though it is reflected in payable balance.

Savings A/c - Making a/c Joint involves filling up entire a/c opening form :)
I could go on and on about the problems with this bank. and its ’policies’ but I dont have time to. I am switching for a PSU bank, at least they are not thugs.
