Why I hate ICICI bank:
· When I try to change my address on money2india, they do not accept my Canadian postal code. So my address is not updated, which causes a whole lot of problems.
· When I try to log in on ICICIbank.com for my account access, my userid is disabled. It is disabled because my password has expired and the only way they will reset the password is to send me a new password to my home address, which is NOT UPDATED!
· When I send documentation to prove my current address, I get a rejection letter saying that drivers license is not a valid proof of address!
· On top of all this, when I went to the branch in India, they gave me incorrect information to sign me up for an insurance scheme. I take the blame for this as I should have read the fine print but I have email exchange between me and the bank manager where she specifically confirms the incorrect information she gave me.
· Their phone system is a joke. Selecting the wrong option kicks you out of the system. I also get a busy signal when I call the toll free NA number
Overall, my experience has been extremely poor. I have lost Rs. 1 Lakh because of their insurance misinformation. It is an extremely poor bank to deal with.
