APATHY ON PART OF BANK IN CHEQUE LOST CASE

Hello All,

I want to share my personal experience with everybody.

I happen to have an account with this Bank in Noida Brach. I shifted my job from Gujarat to Delhi around 4 years back. Hence I applied for withdrawal of Provident Fund throught automatic transfer to my account in Noida. The cheque was issued by PF department and was well received by ICICI bank, but during clearing they lost the cheque.

After this happened, ICICI bank simply sent me a letter stating that they have lost the cheque and please get another cheque issued from PF department.

Now somebody should convince me that why I should suffer because of a mistake done by ICICI bank. I am a salaried person and I donot have enough time to follow up with PF department and that too in Gujarat while sitting in Delhi, when everybody knows the style of functioning of Govt departments in our country.

So I talked strongly with ICICI bank, lodged complaints but of no avail. This case is more than 1 year old now, as the cheque was lost in August 2005 and till date I have not got any satisfactory answer from any responsible person from the Banks Branch, what to talk of my money.

So this is the style of functioning of the Biggest private sector bank in India which claims itself to be like this.

I as a customer might not be important for this bank, but this is the question of my hard earned money and I surely will take up the matter with the further higher authorities and get my money back.

But I am sharing this experience to tell everybody that the efficiency of any system be it a machinery or institution can be judged only when something goes wrong. So in my case I found this bank’s grievance resolving department to be totally useless and third class.
