Crap should be the Other Name

I completely agree with other reviewers regarding the quality of ICICI bank customer care. They donot have any idea about what is customer service . I have been trying to contact them via all the possible methods they claim to provide for their customer . Unfortunately I am unsuccesful in getting in touch with them since 20 days.


Whenver you send an email, they promptly assign a case# to that email and send you an ckanowledgement that they are working on this. That ’s it. that will be the last time you hear from them. Their US contact# 1866ICICI4U ’’SUCKS’’ big time. It never work (atleast last two weeks based on my experience) . I think they shoud change it to ICICINOTFORU


I am feeling very bad how they are treating their customer . I will definotely not recommend these guys to anybody. Intially I thought I am the only one who is getting this raw deal, but looks like there are tons of horror stories . In mycase there was a problem with moneytransfer. They did a wrong debit on 27th Dec’04. I promptly tried to contact them via phone, but it is of no use as nobody picks that, Desperately I send mails except acknowledgement nothing happens. I keep on sending emails , on 6th jan they said it will take some more time , I thought ’fair enough’.


On 11th jan they just replied me back with a one line reason without any information I was looking for . I just couldn’t believe my eye. I thought my village money lender behave more professionally than these guys.


If you have money keep it with yourself rather than depositing in these suckers place. you feel more better.

Well I received lots of email supporting my views and an email from a mouthshut member s_ramkumar50 saying that


’’Please inform your problem. I will try to sort out your problem in ICICI Bank. Because, I m also a employee of ICICI Bank only. If you could inform / post your problem to my mail id s.ramkumar@icicibank.com, I will forward your complaint to respective person and try to solver your problem. ’’


To Mr Ramkumar and other mouthshut member here is the chronology of event that happens to me




  1. on 16th dec I did a moneyxfer from my US bank account via money2india




  2. on 23rd dec. it got credited to my icici bank account




  3. On 27th dec it again debited from my account without any reason and I just want a clear answer from them why it happens so that I can talk to My US Bank .






4.on 28th dec I received an email from them

’’This is to inform you that your e-Transfer (ACH) account has been disabled . Your e-transfer account has been temporarily blocked due to security reasons. nri@icicibank.com .   1. From 27thdec to 10th january I tried to call their ’’supposedly 24hr customer service line’’ atleast 5 times a day and sometime it says after 4-5 mins ’’due to high call volume please call later’’ and sometime it keep me on hold for more than 30 minutes.




  2. So I tried to contact them via other channels like emails etc on 28th dec I send them an email regarding this issue




  3. On 29th dec. I received an confirmation email from them

Thats it I did n’t hear from them on this issue and TODAY i.e 13th jan I received an email from them that says

What you can say about these behaviour ???? I am completly sick of these guys..These are plain money sucking Bastards




  1. On 3rd jan I wrote an email to their customer care and want an explantion regarding the debit txns in my account and on 4th jan they quickly send an confirmation email

  1. On 5th january I got an email from their nri cell

See, they are still making note of issues and apologize always ..




  1. I am till now waiting to hear from them on this issue .




  2. on 11th Jan finally after 35mins waiting time somebody pick my call , his name was ’gautam’ and that poor chap again try to make note of my issue and promise me to revert back . I just blast him and demand to talk to his supervisor as this involves my 2 weeks of labour . That fellow says his supervisor is serving other customer . So I asked him to put me on his (supervisor queue) . Gautam did make a note of my issue and promise to pass that to concern product team (Thou it is a different story that I am yet to hear from them) and put me on his supervisor queue. I was on hold for 1 hour in that queue , I don’t know whether the supervisor was solving other issues or doing ’’phone sex’’ . Sorry guys I can’t help it. This is not me the frustation inside me is speaking. As I was calling from my work so I have to hang up. So this is the story till now. Also I have written to NRI bank manager from my ICICI bank account (where they offer you to wrote to A/c manager ) several times . I did n’t get anything except apology and FALSE promise.






So guys as I said before If you have extra money give it to charity or spend on yourself but please for gods sake do not go to ICICI bank.
