I am writing this mail in reference with an incident which I believe unfair and jolted my trust on ICICI. I am using ICICI for 11 years for banking and 10 years for credit card. I have a salary account with ICICI. I spend 4 lakh+ in a year on ICICI credit card. All because so far I had high trust on ICICI.
While I have paid the bill on time for 10 years, last month I was travelling and was a delay of 5 days. I got a reminder call only after the due date is over and given a wrong no for bill amount. Later I found that an exorbitant amount charged as interest. The interest is 400% annually. I am left with a bad test not because of the money charged but by the way this is handled. I can not avoid the feeling that ICICI purposefully delay the reminder so that I miss the deadline and given a wrong amount so that high interest can be charged. I have talked and written to customer care team without any response.
I have been constantly writing to ICICI, but no one bothers to response.
Customer Care executives are not noting down my complaint.
For me trusting my banker is more important. With this, I think, it’s time to look outside of ICICI for my banking needs.
