I have accumulated reward points upto 3500 and then thought of redeeming the same. The icici WEBSITE had an array of gifts & gift vouchers to choose fm, and I had a tough time zeroing on one.
Main reason being 1 point is not equal to Re 1 as they had promised when I took this card 4 yrs ago.
Many cases u need 1000 points to get a 500 Rs gift voucher. This was my first point of being cheated.
Fine. Got cheated, now I need to go for the best deal. Finally selected Big Bazaar vouchers where u need 112 points for a 100 Rs voucher. That seemed to be the most value for money option.
Tried to redeem it online, but was not getting thru. So then I called up the call centre. To my shock, the only available option is Gitanjali Diamonds Gift voucher, where u need 1250 points for 500 Rs GV.
Need not say more.
Beware, don’t fall for the reward points.
