I want to tell all Indian Railway employees that do not try to get Credit Card of ICICI bank as you all are BAD Credit for them.
The story begins when I emailed ICICI some query regarding Credit Cards. Prompt reply(within 1 hr.) came requesting additional info. regarding Name(I already mentioned that), DOB, Address home and office with PIN code, office phone no. and mobile no.(already given) and occupation with annual income(already given).
I emailed all info except home address, as I stay in office from 8 to 5 and dont want my family or me to be bothered at home.
On very next day at 8.30 a.m.! some one called me from ICICI and first question was regarding my address, I told him my office address, again he insisted for my home address and I refused that and said that if someone contacts me he can do that at my office. To that he said someone shall contact me soon. No one ever contacted me.
Then at 10 a.m. email came saying that
"We confirm that your credit card query has been resolved as per our telephonic conversation on November 12, 2007.For quicker resolution of your query, please write to us through the "Email us" option at https://icicibank.com"
To my surprise no one even talked about my query and all empasis was on my home address, as if their sole aim was to get my home address only.
Then I replied email that no one has answered my query yet and that it seems they only want my address?
To the reply of my mail they emailed
"According to our telephonic conversation we have attended your query relating to application.
For further clarification, please contact us through the "E-mail Us" option at our website, https://icicibank.com"
which seems automatic emailing with all different persons answering.
Seeing that it is useless emailing I
visited ICICI Ajmer branch 23/11/07 .When I asked I want toopen an
account and apply for CC, the very busy clerk pointed me towrds a girl wearing
jeans jacket. Iasked her that I want an account and CC with bank. She asked me
what I do?(all communication happened in standing position) I told her that I
was working in Indian Railway. To that she simply said one wordNegative. And
never asked on what position I am. I asked her what that mean, she said we do
not issue CC to Railway employee. I asked her whats the reason for that, she
saidNegative, again I asked why, again she repeated we dont issue CC to
Railway employee, I asked her their must be some valid reason and that
all Railway employee from Class I to Class IV can not be the same. She
could not give me the valid reason. Then I asked her that I shall take this
matter to the manager, she said its no use, you can do that if you wish. Seeing
that there is no use, I said that I have to communicate this on net. She said
thats OK, you can do that.
Though I understand there may be bad credit, it
doesnt mean that all that catagory is bad from top to bottom?
I emailed all this to Customer Care of ICICI and offered no comment on either banks service or staffs attitude. And wrote that there is already written so much on your bank on mouthshut.com
and that not I needed to not open an accunt with your bank or get CC.
I still have my query unanswered.
