I am using a ICICI bank credit card from last 5 years. A few days ago one of their representative called me & told me I qualify for a card upgrade and they are providing me one of the elite card called Ferrari card. I asked him the features of the card and also if joining and annual charges are associated with the card? He told me there is a joining & annual charge. I told him straightaway that I am not interested in a paid card as my current card is free and there is no joining & annual charges. The executive didnt listen to me at all and disconnected the call immediately. I called the customer care and told them I am not interested in a Ferrari card and asked them to cancel it. The customer care executive told me the request has already been taken and nothing can be done now. However, told me to call them again once I will receive the card.
I was very unhappy with the whole incident as they were selling me something without my permission and were pushing me to take the product. I have already raised a complaint regarding this and nothing has been done so far.
The customer care is pathetic, I have to go through a long IVR for at least 15 minutes to speak with them. The customer care executive was not professional and polite on the calls & didnt solve the query in the first instance.
I also dont like ICICI credit card because of the highest charges in the banking sector.
They charge very high Interest if total outstanding is not paid on time or if the minimum amount due is paid then again they charge very high Interest rate.
Overall my experience with them is not overwhelming. The whole incident has already wasted a lot of my time and money. Through Mouthshut I would like to raise this issue with their officials that why they have send me a Ferrari card without my consent. They should look into the issue and take necessary action against the culprits.
I have also attached the letter from ICICI bank along with a snapshot of the card, so it will be easy for them to solve the query.
