Three months back, when I was shopping at big bazaar bangalore, an ICICI bank agent insisted me to take an ICICI card saying it’s absolutely free, if I provide the xerox copy of my previous credit card statement.
I accepted it (thinking it’s free for life), but it was free for one year only. Ther assumption is only my mistake. The card came with a booklet of offers. I got benefitted by a couple of two.
Then I heard about the 5% cash back offer and used the most of it (got around Rs800 back by using it). I don’t know what they gained out of it. Then in my company I was offered an ICICI Prefered credit card, which is free as long as I work for a company in ICICI list(I don’t have the list yet).
The card would double as HP petro card too(no transaction fee). I applied for it in replacemnt for the exixting card. Although the card reached me a bit late, it came packed with with many big offers, most of them valid until 2006, All at no extra price. I like it.
