I have been using ICICI credit card from last 22 months. Every time I did a big transaction, I would avail EMI facility.
In view of availing the EMI facility, I did a transaction of 16, 692 INR yesterday. However when I called ICICI customer care requesting EMI facility I, was shocked to know that the facility has been on hold.
When I asked the Customer Care executive, why this was not intimated to the customer? The executive had no convincing reply. The executive only said: It was the bank decision and it has the right to change any facility at any time. This is ridiculous!!! When ICICI is taking a decision that can affect a customer directly, does it not have any obligation to inform the customer?
It is just another facade of customer service. I got a separate mailer intimating the decrease in interest rate for the period Jul 09 to Dec 09. Why was not this communicated.
The executive stated that the EMI facility the bank policy and could change any time.Change in interest rate is also a bank policy and why was that communicated? I leave the rest of the interpretatio to reveiewers.
