Things started off pretty well. I was really happy with the ICICI gold card. Yes, I could now use it for international transactions. I had absolutely no problems during the first six months. This was when I started noticing something strange on my bills.
All of them had ’billed finance charges’. On calling their support (it took me nearly one day to get through), I was informed it was due to non payment of earlier dues. This was shocking as I always paid the bills on time. I finally complained to the HO and refused to pay any extra charges.
To top this all, the local ICICI misplaced my cheque. And I was billed the charges for their mistake!
I have had enough! I have recently cancelled my card and no I havent paid the ’billed charges’
My advice to you all is simple. If you are looking for a credit card, take one from citibank. I have not faced a single problem and their support is always prompt and efficient. Which is more than I can say about ICICI.
