I wish I had read these earlier and not gone with ICICI people.
We had approached ICICI Help line for Home Loan.
Upon recieving our request, the other day the bank had sent one executive for our help.
The executive told us abt the terms and conditions.
We agreed considering the rate of interest etc.
Once the processing fee was charged, which is charged in the very initial stages, the troubles started cropping up faster than weeds.
Our point of contact was Ms.R so called to Relation officer of the bank.
She is the biggest liar I and My husband have come across.
We were never gievn a detailed list of documents required at once.
Everyday the bank asked for a new document.
The lady promised she will give us a call to advise on the status but we never ever recvd any call or any form of communication from her.
It took us one month to know that our loan was approved.
When finally the day came and we were invited by the bank to get the disbursment check, we went to the bank.
to our surprise we found that it was not a bank branch we were communicating with for all these days.
more horrifying, it was a dingy room, may be just seven feet by ten feet and not higher than six feet in height. it was a direct selling agent.
but as by now already two months were passed we wanted to get rid of it and get the loan earliest possible.
remember we had gone there to get the disbursment done.we filled the required forms etc.
meanwhile Ms.R approached us and advised that we can still not get the loan amount.
we had already taken the possession and our buyer was waiting for the money.
now they again gave us a new list of documents.
one of the documents required an indemnity from the seller certifying that incase we as buyers fail to pay the loan, the seller is resposible to repay the loan to the bank wat sense this makes when we mortgage the papers of our property with the bank.
Now the current status is that its been almost five months now and we are still arranging documents to get our loan disbursed by the so called reputed bankicici.
i don wish to give any advise to anyone. My experience is self explanatory.
