This is the worst bank with respect to customer service. I asked my brother to get me a Demand Draft for 1500 Rs. He got me the draft and it was debited from his ICICI account. The draft could not be used due to various other reasons and so I approached the bank and asked them credit the money back into my brother’s account, since he had left the country by then and was in USA.
The bank refused to do so, asking me to get his signature on the back of the DD and on a 1Rs revenue stamp!! Imagine the paperwork they force their NRI and local customers to go through!!
Afterall, its a DD which they had issued, and I thought it was the easiest thing to do ie. credit it back to one of their account holders account!!
They suck at it, I’ll never bank with them again.
