I had a horrible experience with ICICI bank. ’’THE BANK YOU SHOULD NEVER BANK ON’’ Bank of cheaters.
I applied for a housing loan in May. Initially ICICI bank approved the loan for 22 Plus based on my financial documents. Then I went ahead and selected the property. Then I shown that property documents to ICICI people to check how much they can borrow me on that property. Actual Property cost was 18 lacks.
They gave me the approval letter of 15.5 lacks. And took the processing fee cheque in advance of Rs. 7750.00. That got cleared from my account immediately (What else will these money eaters will do?). As per the guidance from ICICI, I went ahead and did the agreement with builder.
Now starts the main STORY....... I approached ICICI with my all property related documents (Corporation sanctioned plan, authorisation and commencement letter by corporation etc.) and my registered agreement with builder.
I requested ICICI to go ahead with the disbursement of my loan as per Builder’s demand letter. Then suddenly these ICICI cheaters started telling me that we can not lend you more than 14.1 lacs on this property.(Actually initially they had told me that they will lend me 15.5 lacs). We had a fight around the figure but they didnt shift a rupee.
I said ok...lets cancel ICICI and go with some other bank. So I reverted my case from ICICI. Now issue comes of refunding the money which I had paid on account of processing fee for my loan which I never took from ICICI. I requested them to do so. Initially I heard different answers from different people in ICICI. First they said, We will refund in one month, then another person (Manager level) told me, as per policy we dont refund the Processing fee.
Third time I sent an email to ICICI from their website complaining the same, and I got a reply that, please get in touch with the DSA you applied through, then go to relationship manager of that DSA, then he will help you out for further things.
As per mail, I went to my DSA, by that time the relationship manager for that DSA had left the ICICI job. New relationship manager never entertained me saying, I am new and your case was handled by somebody else so I can not help you.
Now it is almost 9 months. My money is still with the cheaters & I am helpless. During this entire span, I had tremendous mental stress, I lost peace of mind and I lost my money as well.
Thats the story with SAD end. So friends, please stop dealing with these cheaters. Close your savings, salary whatever kind of accounts from these peak pocketers. DO YOU FEEL YOUR MONEY IS SECURED WITH THIS BANK?? If yes, then god bless you for your money.
