I have read some of the reviews posted here. Seems like quite a few people have had bad experience with the company! On the contrary, my experience with ICICI Lombard has been quiet different and that is why I decided to write about it.
I made a claim for personal accident(which my policy covered). According to me I had submitted all the documents, but it seems that they were incomplete. The company people called me up, sought clarifications and asked for more documents. I was a little angry, because I thought they were looking for excuses and trying to evade the claim. But, I did answer their questions and submitted the documents requested.
Their response was prompt. My claim got passed and I received my cheque(after the deductibles and all) within the time they promised. I realized that in this case I was wrong and would have blamed the company if the claim had been rejected. But, because their approach was professional and my claim genuine, it got passed.
Sometimes mistakes can be from our end. Say for example a policy covers personal accident, but we must be aware about exactly what it covers and what it does not cover, the papers you need to submit and what you dont.
